This is the Fourth in my Seaside Chimneys series of sketches. I have a fascination for drawing telegraph poles and chimneys, parts of our surroundings that we unconsciously ignore in our daily lives. The way the cables direct the view around us and the variety in chimney design and shape make beautiful subjects to draw.
Overlooking the Harbour House rooftops towards the St Ives Harbour wall and beach. This was drawn early in the year, hence the lack of crowds on the beach and only one solitary child with a beach ball.
